Seeing Squares

48 x 56

This pattern is called seeing squares.  It's one of those that I actually purchased because the blocks are not typical.  If you decide to purchase this pattern, read the whole thing first.  Then you will see that all squares you cut will be cut into 2.5 and 1.5 strips.  It bothered me that it wasted so much fabric. I would have just cut strips instead of all the squares. Other than the wastefulness, it's a nice pattern.

Anyway, I used Kona Cotton in Lagoon, Peacock, Robin Egg, Sprout, Parrot, Papaya, Orange, and White.  My picture is not accurate on the colors because I took it at the wrong time of day.  But I wanted a March finish, so I took them anyway!

It's quilted with swirls to soften up all those sharp edges. I used a pantograph, but I really think I could have done it freehand.

Hopefully you are having a great week, Spring Break or not!
